Nice to see a sense of humour at what must be a very grim time for students. I graduated a few years back, so I'm one of the lucky ones but if I was facing a debt of almost £30,000, I think I'd have thought twice about going to uni. The graduate jobs market wasn't as tough but it still wasn't a walk in the park.
Whether or not this raise in fees is necessary, I just don't know. It's a knotty problem and not one I should get into here. But hiking the fees at this particular time is just kicking students in the gut while they're down.
